Eligibility Criteria

1. Domicile Requirement:

The applicant must be a resident of the State of Punjab or have parent/guardian residing/working in Punjab.

2. Academic Qualification:

Minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Divyang candidates) in the preceding qualifying examination from any recognized board.

3. Age Criteria:

Age must comply with Punjab Department of School Education norms as of 31st March 2026.

4. State Entrance Merit:

For Classes 9th and 11th, securing minimum qualifying score in the entrance exam is mandatory.

No tuition or admission fee is charged. School education, textbooks, school uniforms, and midday nutrition are 100% free under the Government of Punjab. For daily GPS bus transportation, 80% of the fare is subsidized by the Government of Punjab, with a nominal 20% student share.
Q. How are admissions granted in Class 9th and Class 11th?
Admissions into Class 9th and Class 11th are strictly based on the Punjab State Entrance Examination merit list conducted by the Department of School Education.
Q. What is the syllabus and pattern for the Entrance Test?
The entrance test comprises multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering Mathematics, General Science, English, Punjabi, and Logical Reasoning based on the preceding class syllabus.
Q. Are students from private schools eligible to apply?
Yes! Any student who is a bona fide resident of Punjab and has passed their previous grade from a recognized school (PSEB, CBSE, ICSE, or other state boards) is eligible to apply.
Q. How does the GPS school bus service and 80% government subsidy operate?
We operate 6 dedicated bus routes covering Anandpur Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib, Nurpur Bedi, and surrounding rural clusters with live GPS tracking. 80% of the bus fare is subsidized by the Government of Punjab, with students contributing only the remaining 20%.
